Misty is a young professional in the Emergency Management field. Her background includes experience in the nonprofit sector as a graduate fellow, a response analyst in the private sector within transportation, and a disaster specialist for the American Red Cross. My favorite quote: “Normality is a paved road; it’s comfortable to walk but no flowers grow on it.” - Vincent Van Gogh
Where I find inspiration: I find inspiration in problems; I am a person who wants to find solutions and efficiencies.
At the top of my bucket list: Creating a year-round sustainable garden, I love growing my own food and keeping a cut garden of flowers in the spring and summer.
The words or phrases I most overuse: Phenomenal and excellent.
One thing most people don’t know about me: I am classically trained on the oboe and played the saxophone (alto & tenor) for 10 years!
