Heather Powers

Heather is a business leader and management consultant with over 25 years of experience leading strategic initiatives and resolving organizational challenges in corporate environments and non-profit groups. Her career has focused on making government programs more effective for citizens, assembling teams and growing leaders. Heather’s love of puzzles and solving problems explain her need to leave things better than she found them.

What inspires me: Kids. I love their fresh perspectives on the world.

Where I find inspiration: Traveling. I am fortunate to have visited or lived in countries on 5 different continents and learned something from each experience. I am excited to get back out into the world after the last few years.

The characteristic I appreciate most in my co-workers: Collaboration and openness to new ideas and perspectives.

One thing most people don’t know about me: I grew up in a very small town and was the only kid in my class for most of 1st through 8th grade. Not a lot to draw from as I help my children navigate middle and high school, each in classes of 500+ students.
