Emily is an emergency management professional with experience supporting local, state, and federal emergency management efforts. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Georgetown University with a Master of Professional Studies in Emergency and Disaster Management. Through her work and academic studies, Emily is well-versed in community health and education, population and global health, ethics, and emergency management, with a particular focus on preparedness and recovery.

What inspires me: My dad! I grew up witnessing his passion to protect and provide for others through his service in the United States military, and the way that he freely gives to meet needs has always been so inspirational to me.
