Journeyman Consultant: FEMA Federal Insurance & Mitigation Administration (FIMA) PM Support
Location: Southwest Washington, DC
Position Description: Nodi Solutions is seeking a senior consultant to work with our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) clients program management support to projects and programs.
Responsibilities may include:
Develop project and program management processes for a broad spectrum of projects including IT, operational, and emergency management based on PMBOK
Lead efforts to institutionalize project management processes and best practices across the directorate for disciplines such as risk management
Work with senior DHS government staff to put in place these project and program management processes
Support projects and programs across all project management disciplines
Mentor staff learning project management skills
Take a continuous process improvement approach to help evolve the project management maturity of the government organization
Required Qualifications:
3-10 years of experience in a professional work environment
BA or BS degree
Understanding of project and program management disciplines, to include experience implementing these disciplines
Direct experience consulting with government clients
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance and DHS Suitability
Desired Qualifications:
Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience performing project or program management for a DHS program
Experience working with FEMA or other DHS components
